Our Thanksgiving Celebration!

Sometimes Gracefully Thanksgiving CooperOur Thanksgiving was busy and relaxing and rejuvenating and most certainly filled with some love, from both family and puppies. Check out the alien eyes on the Yorkie I’m holding above. What a great tongue-licking action shot. Well done, Darebear.

Like I said, we spent the majority of our holiday hopping from one family gathering to the next. These pictures are from the late Thanksgiving lunch we had at my parents’ house {if you remember, it’s Puppy Haven over there}. My mom loves to entertain, and she makes a wicked green bean casserole, so you can bet I was one happy camper sipping my glass of wine while munching on some green beans {talk about oneΒ weirdΒ but surprisingly divine combination}.

I realize I’m probably sharing way too many photos of the Thanksgiving table, but wasn’t it lovely? My mom’s go-to flower is the hydrangea. She loves how full they become and how beautifully they liven up a vase or a table, even when they’re dead and brown. Such a simple way to decorate all year round! Save your hydrangeas! πŸ˜‰

Like I mentioned yesterday, I had at least four helpings of Thanksgiving food, and, even though Darrin had to practically roll me back to the car, every bite was worth it. There are just some holiday meals that you only eat once a year, and Thanksgiving is definitely one of those meals. Luckily our evening plans consisted of sprawling out on the couch watching A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, so I happily fell asleep at a time even the elderly might find shocking…

Thanksgiving Love IMG_0514 Thanksgiving KissesThankfulness is a year-round activity, and I’m still and always will be wildly thankful for this redheaded hunk. I think we rocked round two of Thanksgiving as a married couple…I’m already stoked for round three! Bring on the mashed potatoes and green bean casserole. I can handle it. Promise.

Transitioning to a different upcoming holiday, I mentioned before that Darrin and I put up our Christmas decor the other night, and the tree turned out wonderfully! Pictures will be coming soon! The apartment is officially ready for a cozy night of A Charlie Brown Christmas, warm socks, and a glass of eggnog. Also, itΒ snowedΒ during the day yesterday, and after watching Frozen, I’m definitely wanting to build a magical snowman who will go adventuring with me and Darrin. I’ll let you know how that turns out. πŸ˜‰

Have a wonderful Tuesday!
