I might as well throw on a sturdy pair of obnoxiously colored tights and sew myself a makeshift cape because THIS girl is feeling like a superhero of some sort. Why, you ask? Because I finished writing my matron of honor speech last night (boy does the word “matron” sound old and wrinkly…). Finished! Complete! Donezo! The Superwoman of Speech Writing strikes again!

Well almost.

I’m sure I’ll reread my speech today with dry rather than teary eyes (fingers crossed) and spot a number of why-did-I-write-thats and what-was-I-thinkings. But for now, I’m choosing to ignore those impending revisions and focus on the positive. Perform a little “celebration dance” of my own.

Maybe this warm sweater from Nordstrom Rack could also moonlight as a cape? We’ll see. Oh and P.S. it’s WAY on sale.

Meanwhile, the wind chill in Minneapolis yesterday was a balmy -38 degrees. So, red noses and rosy cheeks are the new black, over here. Happy Tuesday!

I was the matron of honor in my sister’s wedding this summer & can relate to both the feeling of accomplishment of getting that speech done AND the old feeling being called “matron” brings. 🙂 Cute look & you seriously have the most gorgeous hair. Happy (freezing cold) Tuesday!

Thanks girly! I wish the name Matron of Honor could be changed to something like “Rockstar of the Bride”…or something. Haha. Maybe I’ll just change it for myself.. 😉

I know right?! Let’s hope I can get through it without sounding like a teary-eyed dork! Haha!
