Stripes and Future Homes

StipesMy drive to class usually happens during rush hour, and for the past couple of weeks it has taken me anΒ hourΒ to get to class, which is ridiculous. So I changed my route and I currently take this beautiful drive along the Mississippi that is populated with so manyΒ gorgeousΒ homes. I will sometimes leave for class a little earlier than necessary so I can stop and walk around these beautiful little neighborhoods. I love their location! They are close enough to the river and to the city for a beautiful walk or skyline view, but surrounded by these tall trees that provide a little seclusion and privacy. My mom, being an interior decorator and contractor, is constantly building these beautiful homes and is constantly getting me excited for our first house! Darrin and I are not at all ready for a home. But it can’t hurt to dream, right?? πŸ˜‰

Last night was a perfect night for a bike ride {and wearing big sweaters!}, so Darrin and I biked the scenic route I take to school. It was so relaxing to bike through the city as the sun was setting, dreaming about the future with my hubby. Although, my legs were just dreaming of getting off that bike…geez louise that trail had someΒ hills! Uffda. The homes in this area are so beautiful! Here are my two favorites…well done, homeowners.

Homes MinneapolisA lot of my friends are having babies and buying houses right now and I won’t lie to you all, I’m stoked for that chapter in life {if you haven’t guessed}. I’m excited to share “firsts” with my kids. First baseball games, first birthday cakes, first day of school, first car, first family vacation…what awesome memories! Family is such a brilliant idea. Not necessarily “blood-line” families, but family as a group of people who encourage, challenge, and love each other more than themselves. What a crazy and wonderful blessing.

Stripes StripesI hope you are all enjoying your Tuesdays! I’ve got lots to do, but so does everybody, so I think I’m just going to take things a day at a time. That’s all I can handle anyways!

Anyone else buying a home? Building a home? Moving? Starting a new family? My prayers are with ya! Enjoy this time in life! Hopefully I’ll be able to share my stories with ya in a couple years! πŸ™‚

Have a beautiful afternoon!
