A Strange and Mysterious Thing

I have a little over a week left before we leave for our Christmas this year in Iowa, which means that I have T-minus one full week to gift shop for basically everyone in the family. I tried to get a jumpstart on my holiday shopping this year, making sure that I browsed the online Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. But technology is a strange and mysterious thing, especially around the holiday season. My computer mouse seemed to move with a mind of its own, and before I could stop my curser from doing anything drastic, the darned thing was ordering me a new pair of Sorel winter boots right before my very eyes.

Crazy, right? Don’t ever underestimate the power of technology…

Of course, once these new boots finally arrived to help me combat the Minnesota snow, the temperatures decided to take a turn for the forty-degree highs, and those magical snowflakes that covered the city a mere two weeks before disappeared faster than the paycheck I used to purchase these boots. Serves me right, I guess. At least I’ll be prepared for the next snowmageddon.

And just an FYI: these boots are (1) my new favorite boots, (2) so so SOOO incredibly comfortable it’s almost suspicious, and (3) are seriously making me consider moving to some mountain town where it snows 24/7 and comfy + stylish winter boots like these are celebrated on the daily.

But anyways. I’ve got one week to shop for both sides of the family. One week. Operation Christmas 2015 is full swing, people. Let’s do this.

  • Boots: Sorel (did I mention that they also come in brown? You’re welcome)
  • Dress: Similar
  • Scarf: Similar
