A Little “First Snowfall” Excitement

Sometimes Gracefully Snow 2 Sometimes Gracefully Snow 3 Sometimes Gracefully Snow 1 Sometimes Gracefully Snow 4 Sometimes Gracefully Snow

First of all, this November snow has really got my heart beating fast and furious for some Christmas magic. Flying reindeer. Dancing snowmen. Heroic Nutcrackers. The whole holiday shebang. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to hold off on the Christmas cheer and give Thanksgiving the limelight next week. Bring on the turkey and the stuffing and the obnoxiously large assortment of pies. But this snowglobe-worthy weather sure has got me thinking about Jingle Bells, and Santa Claus, ho-ho-ho, and mistletoe, and presents to pretty girls… {name that movie}… πŸ˜‰

Speaking of awesome things, my best friend and her sweet husband returned home to Minnesota after a few months of traveling. Darrin and I were able to spend some quality time with them last night, talking about their trips abroad, their trips home, and their future plans here in the Twin Cities with their pudgy little dachshund. There’s just something so darn special about reuniting with cherished friends that you’ve missed. Something deeply intertwined with the season’s feelings of thankfulness and family and that “first snowfall” kind of excitement. And who doesn’t love watching a stubby little dachshund try leaping without all her might onto the couch? πŸ˜‰

Also, if you’re in the market for a new winter handbag, be sure to check out Mellow World! I love the Julia bag that I’m wearing above, but they’ve got so many other beautiful options!
