Snow What?!

Sometimes Gracefully Sometimes Gracefully Sometimes GracefullyWe’ve been having some mini snowstorms over the last couple of days, which has made driving to class at night just one massive headache. However, as much as the winter roads and driving conditions frustrate me, I’m such a sucker for the beauty that isΒ snow. I mean, what a brilliant idea. Rock on, God. I’m most certainly thankful for the seasons.

If you’re all right with me opening up a can of “metaphor,” I’m also pretty darn thankful for the “seasons” of my life {nice connection, right? πŸ˜‰ } that I’ve been appreciating lately. While it was snowing heavily outside, Darrin and I popped in our wedding DVD and watched this short, video montage a friend made for us of our day. I’d love to share it with you sometime. We were married on a hot afternoon in July, so it was a bit surreal watching summer onscreen while winter stirred outside. Β Recognizing the change that happened not only in the seasons but also within our home and marriage and friendship was overwhelming. Not a “I wish I could go back” kind of overwhelming, but a “What an adventure this has been” type of overwhelming. Like I said before, rock on, God. I am most certainly thankful for the seasons.

Sometimes Gracefully Sometimes Gracefully Sometimes Gracefully Sometimes Gracefully Sometimes GracefullySpeaking of seasons and change, I’ve got my last week of classes this week, and I couldn’t be more stoked about it. It’s definitely time for an academic break. And Christmas cookies. There needsΒ to be more time for baking Christmas cookies.

Until then, Darebear and I will be spending our weekend writing and reading and making graphs and drinking coffee and writing and more reading and probably breaking for a little dance party in the kitchen {Darrin’s artist of choice has been Lorde lately…} and then back to more reading and writing and coffee drinking. Sounds fun, right? You’re welcome to write my paperΒ  join me! πŸ˜‰

Sometimes Gracefully Sometimes GracefullyHave a fabulous weekend! If you’re living in a cold and snowy area like me, stay warm! If you’re not, can I please come stay with you for a couple of months? πŸ˜‰

Thanks for stopping by!
