This park near our apartment has a number of awesome paths that follow the river, and if it was a bit warmer outside, I’d set up a nice little picnic near this statue with a view of the Mississippi. It’s been snowing off and on here in Minne-snow-ta, so I’m thinking that “picnic season” is most certainly long gone. It’s more like “fireplace season”…or, for those like us who lack an actual fireplace, “fireplace channel season.” Whoever came up with that idea was brilliant. And the sounds of the cracking wood…genius. Insert deep exhales of appreciation.
There are just some days when jeans feel too constricting and burdensome to put on for a quick errand run, so these polka dot leggings served as my “pants” for my trip to the grocery store the other day. I know there’s some taboo about wearing leggings as pants, but it was one of those “Hashtag YOLO” moments, and I’ve got no regrets. They are just too darn comfy. Way to go, Target.
I took some photos of our Christmas decor around the apartment, and I’m excited to share with ya some snapshots of our little holiday home tomorrow! It’s so strange how different a room can feel once you set up and decorate the tree! I think I have slight ADD around Christmas time. All those glittery ornaments and sparkly lights…I mean, who wouldn’t be distracted? I could stare at our tree all day. And Darrin just loves it when I wander away from him at the store so I can go check out the Christmas decorations and he has to search for me throughout the store…
I hope your Wednesdays are productive! Anyone else just as distracted by gorgeous holiday decor as much as I am? If so, have you seen Crate & Barrel’s holiday decorations? So many great pieces! Like these!
Have a wonderful day!
