Packing up our family to go anywhere these days is always a bit of a circus. One of us is usually juggling an armful of brightly colored stuffed animals, burp cloths, and toys while the other is entertaining our tiny audience of one with silly songs or strange acrobatics so we can distract her from the fact that she’s being buckled into her car seat. Miss Olivia travels with a lot of luggage, and because her little arms conveniently aren’t strong enough to carry her bags herself (I’m sure she did that on purpose), Darrin and I are left to lug around everything she needs, which is why having an easy stroller and car seat travel system is so darn important to us. And our sanity.
We took Olivia to her 4 month checkup appointment in our Evenflo travel system, and because the afternoon temperatures reached a balmy 35 degrees, we thought we’d wander around the nearby shops for some fresh air. Olivia didn’t seem to mind the cold air as I pushed her stroller over the cobblestone. She stared back at me from her car seat wide-eyed and red-nosed–not a peep of a complaint–and in that moment I knew that she was going to grow up to be a strong woman. Minnesota winters can do that to ya, dontcha know.
Our Evenflo travel system has made quick trips to the doctor’s office or the grocery store so much easier. We use the Sibby travel system, which includes a car seat, a car seat base, and a stroller that allows the car seat to simply click into place. I lift one strap and the stroller gently folds in half, fitting comfortably in the trunk of our car. What’s so awesome about the Sibby system is the ride-along board that you can attach to the back if you have an older child who wants a break from walking. Which means that there’s space for both kids to ride in the stroller at the same time. Brilliant, right? It’s like the cherry on top of an already awesome stroller sundae.
If you’re in the market for a new travel system, or if you know a pregnant friend with an upcoming baby shower, seriously checkout Evenflo and their travel systems. They’re lightweight and incredibly easy to maneuver. It’s so important for both mom and baby to make time for some fresh air, even during these chillier months. Might as well make venturing outside easy on you by using an easy-to-use travel system.
