If I had a sword or a wand or a royal trident or something, I’d officially dub these Nikes my “go-to” Nikes for obvious reasons {the comfort, the leopard print, the don’t-mess-with-me black and grey coloring…}. I’ve been wearing them nonstop since I acquired them last week. In the apartment. Around the neighborhood. Out to dinner. To the grocery store. Lounging on the couch. Visiting my parents. My mother’s dogs didn’t even chew up the shoe strings, which is a sure sign that these sleek kicks are invincible. Fingers crossed they increase my jogging pace.

As the tweens say: LOL.

Darrin and I did our best to prepare for this first week of classes by having a Harry Potter movie marathon. Harry went to school…we’re going to school…our lives are basically the same. After the final movie of the saga ended, and I realized how little time we’ll have this fall for lazy days with Harry and the gang, I looked and Darrin and turned on the sappy switch. I told him how much I loved watching movies and doing nothing with him…how I’m nervous and excited for the upcoming year…how I hope that we’ll be able to make time for date nights that don’t involve textbooks or Word documents. He nodded in agreement, smiled, looked at me as if he was going to say something sappy back, and responded,

“I know we’ll have a good year together, Gracie. You’re my Horcrux.”

This was followed by Darrin’s “I’m sorry I ruined this serious and meaningful moment” laugh.

Thanks honey. Glad we can connect on this Harry Potter level. Though, I’m not sure I’d save this “romantic” line for further use in the future…

He can be such a Ron sometimes. 😉

Have a great Wednesday!

You’re way adorable, lady!! And I love your hair like that. Haha, love that you’re so inseparable with your shoes… I’m like that with my new scarf. If I could wear it to bed, I would! xoxo

Those shoes do like the epitome of style & comfort 😮

Awww, that is the cutest story! I am a Harry Potter nerd myself and I think it’s adorable you had a marathon with your boo. I’m sure you’ll have plenty of time for each other when school rolls around 🙂

Ron is an incredibly loveable character though!
You’re hair looks amazing! I have yet to attempt the fishtail braid, it sounds far too complicated for me.

Haha! That response was brilliant (albeit not quite what you were hoping for I bet.) at least your DH read the HP series, mine has no idea what I’m talking about and refers to Voldemort as Vandermoot. You realize how this offends me. It’s. Not. Okay. Fishtail braid looks awesome- tutorial perhaps??

Haha! Vandermoot is definitely a creative name mistake! Looks like you need to give a few HP lessons! 😉
