Coffee seems to consistently taste the best on Monday and Saturday mornings. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll drink coffee all day every day. But my Monday morning, let’s-get-this-week-started cup of coffee tastes a bit different than my Thursday morning, let’s-pray-I-don’t-fall-over-with-exhaustion cup of coffee. And there’s nothing better than my Saturday morning, let’s-stay-in-our-PJs-all-day-and-share-a-few-donuts cup of coffee.
Moral of this first paragraph: I love coffee. Especially my Monday morning cup of coffee.
I was thrilled when Marley Coffee contacted me, wanting to help fuel my adventures around Minneapolis with a fresh cup of their One Love or Buffalo Soldier roasts. Marley Coffee provides coffee lovers with beans from around the world, and they take pride in their ethically farmed, sustainably grown, and artisan roasted product. What I think I love most about Marley Coffee, besides their amazing dark and medium roasts, is the company’s commitment to clean water initiatives in Ethiopia. Marley Coffee works closely with the Water Wise Coffee Project, researching and developing sustainable solutions for cleaning up the local rivers polluted by the coffee process. In 2014, Marley Coffee contributed over $80,000 to Water Wise Coffee, which is pretty darned amazing, if you ask me. And their single-serve RealCups (Keurig compatible!) are recyclable! High fives for going green! Or, in the case of the Lively Up! RealCup blend, going dark, rich, and caramelly!
You can read more about Marley Coffee’s commitment to coffee sustainability online here, or you can shop their awesome variety of beans, grounds, and single-serve RealCups. Are you a coffee lover? Have a favorite roast?
I hope you have a caffeinated Monday!
**Thanks to Marley Coffee who supplied the roasts that inspired this post.**
