Our Mini-Vacation: Duluth. Part Two!

Here’s a few more pictures from our weekend in Duluth! Because I couldn’t put the camera down…much to Darrin’s “delight.” He’s such a good sport.

We woke up early on Sunday morning, grabbed a cup of coffee from Caribou, and spent the morning along the shoreline. The clouds had finally parted from the day before, so we could watch the sun rise over the water. I keep telling Darrin that, once we have “real jobs” {whatever that means…}, we’re going to live on a lake one day. Large bodies of water are so peaceful. Lakes, oceans, rivers. Darrin is a major fan of water too, although his explanation regarding why he loves water is a bit more scientific than mine: “Water is such a cool element. It’s one of the only substances that’s less dense when it freezes. Which gives ice its ability to float.”

….

Sure thing, honey. Water’s pretty cool.

But anyways, if we’re going to live on a large body of water, I’m thinking that I’ll need to learn how to drive a boat. Or a jet ski. Or THISI’d be the coolest soccer mom on the block if I took that baby for a spin around the lake. And I’m all about trying to look cooler than I actually am. 😉

We sure had a nice little weekend away on the lake. You might even say it was a superior weekend… 😉

{We stayed on Lake Superior…in case ya missed that one… Don’t worry, I’m hear for ya}

Have a great rest of your day!

    That sky is so blue!!!!! Also, I’ve never seen a great lake in real life before (or at least not that I can remember)… it totally looks like the ocean!! I love it!

      Agreed – thanks for sharing such great photos!! I’m originally from the Western part of Canada and have never seen the lakes myself so it was great to get a peek! 🙂

    So, first it was Ticket to Ride and now I am watching Fargo the series. This is a much prettier Duluth scene than the winter scenes in Fargo, haha!
