It may be raining today in Minneapolis, but patio dining has been bustling over here in Northeast. The umbrellas are up, the sun is shining, and the happy hour specials are in full swing. Darrin and I walked to Tuggs Tavern the other night for a little “date your spouse” time along the riverfront. As an establishment, Tuggs has that whole “cool without trying to be cool” vibe going for them…a vibe that I’ve been trying and failing to achieve as an individual for years. They’ve got some rockin’ signature burgers that you must try when you’re there. Darrin ordered Tuggs’ Chili Dog special on the night we went, but he definitely recommends trying their Cowboy Bob and Stuffed Saloon burgers. Personally, I’m a major fan of their appetizers: the garlic fries, smokey buffalo wings,  fresh pico de gallo with homemade chips, and their state fair cheese curds are so. freaking. good.

Burgers, appetizers, beers, a great view from the patio, and a date night with one awesome husband. That’s all you need for a perfect summer evening, right?! Although…I’ll keep my husband for myself, if you don’t mind. 😉

Thanks for a solid night, Tuggs! I’ll be back for more garlic fries!

Hope you’re having a great day!

This looks like such an awesome place! And I have been trying to get that “cool without trying to” thing for years as well… no luck.
