Meet: New Bohemia Wurst + BierHaus

New Bohemia New Bohemia New Bohemia

If you or your man love meat and beer, then you’ve gotta check out Β New BohemiaΒ in Northeast Minneapolis! Darrin and I have been here a couple of times and love it! I mean, check out those weird brat flavors on the menu above! Smoked Duck with Cilantro? Rattlesnake Rabbit Jalapeno?! There are just some things in this world that you’ve gotta try. The Chicken with Tomato & Basil brat flavor being one of them.

This little bier house has both indoor and outdoor seating {madeΒ obvious in the pictures above…}, but I’d recommend the outdoor table and stools. Order your brats, snag a table, start a tab at the bar, and then people watch for the rest of the evening. Above the cute bar inside {I know, I know…”cute” maybe shouldn’t be used to describe a bar…but it had some serious cuteness going on…} they’ve got sports games playing on some major flatscreens, but I tend to like the outdoor environment a bit better!

This place will cook your brat perfectly {or “to order,” if you like your brats really done}, and I love the way they season their brat buns! Toasted and seasoned buns are the best {andΒ yes, I know how that last sentence sounds…hello, middle-school Gracie πŸ˜‰ }.

With your brat order you get some free toppings that you can load on your brat, and this place hasΒ soΒ many topping options. I, unfortunately, am a plain brat kind of girl, but Darebear highly recommends the mushrooms and/or the honey caramelized onions. Also, for all you German and Polish drinkers out there {like my family}, New Bohemia offers their brats “Hangover Style” with fried eggs and hot peppers piled high. Crazy, right?! And we haven’t even touched on their dipping sauces for the fries and potatoes! Fresh Herb Ranch, Mango Curry Ketchup, Wasabi Ginger Mayo, Hot Bacon Dressing…hold on a sec while I clean up this drool all over my keyboard….

This place can get pretty packed on a Saturday night {how could itΒ not?!}, so if you’d like to avoid the crowds, I’d suggest a different night. On the other hand, the atmosphere was great and everyone around was all “Minnesota nice,” which I love!

Nothing says autumn like meat and beer, {and football…which we watched the next day}, and New Bohemia definitely helped usher in the season at our house. Some people aren’t big “meat” fans, so if you’re one of those people, I’ve heard that their Vegetarian Italian link is pretty delicious. Now you’re out of excusesΒ notΒ to try this place! We had such a great night talking and drinking and laughing with family. I’m not looking forward to when this warm outdoor patio weather leaves the Twin Cities! Until then, I’ll happily enjoy my brat and beer outside at New Bohemia…and then rave all about it on this little blog to you. πŸ˜‰

Happy Tuesday!
