Meet: Ginger Hop

GingerhopGinger Hop is one of my favorite restaurants in Northeast Minneapolis, and I’d thought I’d share a few recommendations with you if you ever find yourself wandering the streets of NE Minneapolis, looking for some food!

Ginger Hop serves primarily Asian cuisine, and they’ve got a great bar area that has one rockin’ beer selection. Didn’t think Asian food went well with a beer? Think. Again.

I’ve been to Ginger Hop a couple of times, most often for their amazing Happy Hour cocktails and appetizers. I highly recommend the Chicken Satay with an order of Sweet Potato Fries and Caramelized Onion Wontons. Didn’t think sweet potato fries could mix well with caramelized onionΒ {so. dang. good.}Β wontons?Β Think. Again.

Obviously you shouldn’t head to Ginger Hop just because of their Happy Hour {but if that persuades ya, then go for it}. Their stir fry menu is amazing. The dishes features above are the Pad Tai with Chicken and the Almond Chicken Stir Fry {myΒ favorite}, but I’m dying to try their Pineapple Fried Rice and Red Curry Ginger Stir Fry. And their Fire Noodles. And probably all of their desserts {hello, Guinness Chocolate Cake!}. Looks like Darrin and I are going to need another date night real soon.

So if you’re in Northeast Minneapolis, be sure to check out Ginger Hop. Honestly, they serve some pretty amazing dishes, and the atmosphere is incredibly warm and relaxing. I mean, who doesn’t want to warm up from the Minnesota snow with some spicy noodles and a beer?! Weird combination? Think. Again. πŸ˜‰

Have a beautiful Tuesday!
