Happy Weekend!

Since moving to Minneapolis, Darrin and I have become “market and food truck people.” We’re all about those Saturday morning walks to the farmers market, stocking up on fruits, vegetables, flowers, and food truck food. The Twin Cities has so many great farmers market locations, but we love the Mill City Farmers Market. Venturing across the Stone Arch Bridge and wandering from booth to booth has become a weekend tradition we sure don’t mind upholding. Especially when there’s pulled pork nachos and sweet potato tacos for breakfast.

Have any big plans for this weekend? Darrin and I are hoping to head to Lake Calhoun tomorrow for some sun and swimming and dream house viewing. We’ve also got plenty of World Cup matches to watch….our tournament brackets being all kinds of “messed up.” There have been so many upsets! And high fives and hugs all around for ‘Murica making it out of the “Group of Death.” I may have to treat myself to a juicy American hamburger and a plate of fries in honor of their victory. 😉

Hope your weekend is relaxing!

You have the cutest blog! I’m so glad I stumbled upon it 🙂 Sunday morning farmer’s market runs are my absolute favorite. There is nothing better than grabbing a large coffee and wandering around the stalls. I do wish ours had more food trucks though…! xx

market and food trucks really do cover just about all your dining needs, right? we love the market for mixing and matching ingredients for dinner, and the food trucks always give us something new and inspiring. we went to the food truck festival today, and i learned about donut burgers — have you heard of this? a big meat patty stuck between a donut. did not try, but maybe you will? gotta be brave.
