Well hey there, Monday! I’m feeling particularly optimistic about this Monday…mostly due to the fact that this Monday marks my last Monday before Spring Break. And I sure am ready for spring. And a break. So let’s get this final week started, shall we?
Here are few less-than-graceful moments from your dorky blogger friend. 😛
- I did a little “spring cleaning” over the weekend. Packed away my winter sweaters, wool socks, heavy boots…even made some room in the ol’ closet for those spring pastels that everybody’s been ranting and raving and instagraming about. The sandals were out! The sun hats were hanging! We ordered a pizza to celebrate my springtime preparation! And by the time the pizza boy arrived at our door, Minneapolis was covered in 3-4 inches of freshly fallen snow. WHAT DID I DO TO YOU, MINNESOTA. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME.
- Responding to a compliment should be easy, right? If someone compliments your hairstyle one day, you should respond with “Thank you! That’s so sweet of you to say!” You should NOT respond with your showering habits and the worries you have about forgetting to wear deodorant…*face palm*
- Darrin and I will go to great lengths to avoid paying for parking in downtown Minneapolis. When you find an old parking meter on one side of town that’s stuck on forty minutes, you park there. Always. Even if your errand is on the other side of town. I sometimes tell myself that I “like the exercise” of walking the long trek back to my car…but I’m really just a sucker for free stuff.
- Lunch for four days in a row last week consisted of nachos and salsa. I might have single-handedly consumed the entire family-sized bag of Tostitos chips. You do what you’ve got to do when you don’t do the grocery shopping you told your husband you’d do…I guess…
Hope you have a great Monday! I’ll just be here in Minneapolis, shaking my fist at these Minne-snow-ta skies and shouting, “WHYYYY?!!”
