Less-Than-Graceful Moments

Sometimes Gracefully MondayHappy Monday! For all you Americans, I hope your Monday back from the long Thanksgiving break is going well! If you’re following me on Instagram, you probably saw all of my gushy pictures about sisters and family and husbands and the like. I don’t blame ya if you rolled your eyes numerous times at my “sappygrams” while scrolling through your feed. But family holiday time is just the goll darn best, right? And the long weekend went by so quickly. I’m still wishing I was sitting in front of my Thanksgiving plate of food, deciding whether to start with the mashed potatoes or the turkey…but nevertheless, the show must go on! And Christmas is right around the corner!

Also, I’ve been living in this leather jacket that I bought last fall from H&M {this one is similar}. It makes me feel much cooler than I actually am. Now all I’m missing is a motorcycle. And actual “coolness.” Better throw that onto the Christmas list. πŸ˜‰

Darebear and I put up our Christmas decorations last night, so I’m stoked to share some pictures with ya. The apartment seems so much cozier when it’s illuminated by a Christmas tree. I honestly wish I could keep that baby up all year long. Talk about a socially unacceptable but completely justifiable decision.

This past week was marvelous and was most certainly filled with a number of “less-than-graceful” moments:

  1. Sometimes those Xcelerator hand-dryers in the bathroom are just too dang powerful and spray all the water you are cupping in your wet hands right onto your Thanksgiving outfit. This happenedΒ beforeΒ the meal…so I had no excuse. Xcelerator 1. Grace 0.
  2. Me trying to stand and balance on a chair with a wobbly back leg will inevitably lead to a bruised lower back and a profanity condemning my short stature.
  3. Going back for aΒ fourthΒ helping of Thanksgiving food. It’s both “less-than-graceful”Β andΒ impressive.
  4. Asking a Canadian “Are steering wheels in Canada located on the right side of the car and not the left?”, even though you know it’s a stupid question. Cue face to palm.
  5. There comes a time in every Black Friday shopper’s life when the curtain to their dressing room is opened by a stranger and the awkward “Uhh..sorry! I’m so sorry! I thought this room was open!” conversation ensues. This year was my year. Twice.Β Not as the person minding their own business in their dressing room, but instead as the awkward stranger that has an incredible “knack” for picking used dressing rooms. Definitely “my bad.”

There you have it! A few of my more embarrassing moments from the past week! Anyone else suffer through a “less-than-graceful” experience this past week? I’d love to hear about it! These goofy stories always tend to make Monday a bit more bearable. πŸ™‚

Can’t wait to share some pictures from the holiday with ya! Have a beautiful start to your week!
