Less-Than-Graceful Moments!

Sometimes Gracefully Monday

Happy Monday! My “productive weekend” quickly turned into a “lazy weekend,” and I’ve no complaints. We spent a whole lot of time winding down from the craziness of last week and preparing for the craziness ofΒ this week on the living room couch watching Cheers. Also, last week Darrin joined an intramural basketball team, and he’s been shopping for athletic shoes like a teenage girl with a DSW gift card ever since. He’s all about “having options,” as he likes to say, so I’m sure we’ll be visiting the Nike store later this week. And again, I’ve no complaints. πŸ˜‰

Here a few of my more “less-than-graceful” moments from the past week!

  1. Utterly and completely slipped and fell outside of a large classroom building {with very large viewing windows for the undergraduates, I might add…} on my way to my car. It wasn’t a simple “trip.” My right leg gave out gracefully and I slid right on off the curb and into the snow. It was a very elegant moment.
  2. I’ll admit that I’m not a bar scene “regular,” so when I ordered a gin and tonic the other night and agreed to whatever kind of gin the bar tender suggested, I wasn’t expecting the most expensive gin he had behind the bar! My ignorance was certainly not bliss for my wallet.
  3. I’ve never felt more like an idiot than when I’m trying to operate “Xcel.” Cells? Spreadsheets? Data calculations? Screw it and give me a book to read.
  4. Darrin brought home a bag of Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans at 4 pm last Friday afternoon. The bag was empty by 7pm, and I may or may not have had something to do with it…
  5. Can we all just appreciate the goofiness that is Darebear’s face in the pictures above? My dorkiness must be rubbing off on him.

I hope you have a great Monday! I’m looking forward to 40 degree weather and sunshine this week! πŸ™‚

Ohhh… Jolly Rancher jelly beans… I think they put some sort of addictive drug inside of them.

gah! my jaw dropped about the most-expensive tonic – who does that? i’m pretty sure protocol (or nice person rule) is cheapest!! right? i mean.. eek! hopefully the night was worth it πŸ™‚ and how happy that intramural sports are starting – jon and his friends are doing a softball league and their busy as bees coming up with the perfect team name πŸ™‚
