Less-Than-Graceful Moments

Sometimes Gracefully Monday

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? I had this cosmo over the weekend, and I’m thinking that I may need another after the long Monday I have ahead! Darrin and I are somewhat freaking out that this week marks the last week of February. I mean, what?! How did we get here? Did I sleep through January?!

Minneapolis received 10 inches of snow overΒ the weekend, so I’m a little bitter towards you lucky dogs living in those sunshine states. Could you spread a little warm-weather love to the upper Midwest? I’d love to take a walk around town without sporting my snowboarding goggles and ski mask.

Here are a few embarrassing and “less-than-graceful” moments from this past week!

  1. Definitely sent a very scary and very embarrassing face to the wrong Snapchat number. There’s nothing worse than watching your horrifying Snapchat travel the cyber highway to the wrong phone…and then watching that phone open your horrifying Snapchat and not respond. What do you do? Send am apology Snapchat? What is the Snapchat protocol?!
  2. When hosting a guest who only has one arm, I wouldn’t advise suggesting that your next group activity be video games. It makes for an awkward conversation when you hand him a controller….hashtag one million face palms.
  3. Speaking of hosting guests, after I went to the liquor store to restock our wine before we had company, I may have hidden the two new bottles of wine so that I didn’t have to share them everybody…talk about a “less-than-graceful” hosting moment! …some wine is more suited for date nights than it is for game nights… πŸ˜‰
  4. Dinner last night was an entire bag of double chocolate dipped peanuts and a few saltine crackers. YOLO? Right?

Got any embarrassing stories from the past week? Share them using theΒ hashtag #lessthangracefulmondays ! I’m all about sharing a good Monday laugh!

Also, Darebear and I abandoned our homework goals last night and watched a whole lot of Star Trek: The Next Generation. I think I deserve this shirt because of my commitment to the show. I’m also thinking that I’m going to make Darebear watch the entire series of Gossip Girl after we’re done with Star Trek….I mean, it’s only fair… πŸ˜‰

Happy Monday!

I always find a bottle or two before company comes over. But I have gotten in an emergency situation where I had to bring it out!

Not going to lie, I always hide extra wine and certain liquor bottles before we have guests over. It’s just become an unwritten rule.

the 10 inches of snow was wild — our car got stuck (1st time ever) and we had 3 friends help us pull out while the snow whipped all around us. i was worried we wouldn’t make it to phoenix, but the storm stopped just in time πŸ™‚ and that photo of you is topnotch — love love love the glittery gems πŸ™‚

Oh my gosh, your SnapChat story makes me SO glad that I don’t have an account, because that is totally something that I would do!

The wine hoarding, on the other hand, is something I am totally not ashamed of…save those million dollar bottles for million dollar occasions girl!

    Xo,

    Elise
