Lately, the stuff on the news has been disheartening, planning my future has been daunting, the weather here has been freezing, and certain friends and family members of mine have been suffering. Life can sometimes be a constant and stagnant swamp of dismay. But rather than dwell on the muck, I thought I’d share some truths that bring me some encouragement. Like Winnie the Pooh says: “A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference.” Hopefully these thoughts bring you a bit of encouragement too. :
There are currently thousands of monks and nuns and priests and pastors praying incessantly for
There are students who will graduate this spring determined to change the world. And they will.
Someone right now has just discovered what it means to love and to be loved by another.
Someone has shown forgiveness. And meant it.
There are many who are suffering through an immense pain right now that they will conquer. They just don’t know it yet.
There are people giving voices to the voiceless.
There are young men protecting and championing and valuing women.
There are young women encouraging and cherishing and celebrating men.
Someone is inviting the uninvited.
Someone is spreading that specific kind of joy that they just can’t contain.
With all that said, spread some encouragement today. Joy does come in the morning. 🙂
