And We Danced and Danced Until I Probably Pulled Something In My Neck…

Sometimes Gracefully Sometimes Gracefully

Our friend from high school got hitched over the weekend, so Darebear and I strapped on our dancing shoes and made our way over to The Kellerman’s Event Center for a night filled with the “Twist” and the “Electric Slide.” Like the title to this post explains, I might have done a little too much twisting {if there is such a thing…} on the dance floor. So I’ve been sleeping on some extra fluffy pillows for support and have been doing my best not to jerk my head right and left. Apparently I do that a lot…like Dug from Up….

Kellerman Event Center Kellerman Event Center Kellerman Event CenterAs you can probably tell from these photos, the venue was gorgeous. It had such a vintage, shabby-chic vibe. And our table was positioned pretty close to the dessert table, so I was one happy camper. Darrin and I ran into a number of people we had not seen in years, so we had fun catching-up…hearing about where they’ve been and where they hope to be.

Darrin is not a huge fan of crowded areas, so there were a number of times throughout the night where I had to go searching for my husband throughout the reception hall, only to find him sitting by himself on a chair in the corner. Just taking a little breather. He calls these “Moments of Diffusion,” when he needs to separate from “the pack” for some space and quiet. I’m thinking that next time he needs to “diffuse” from the room he should turn his cell phone on so I can avoid looking like a lost puppy wandering around the dance hall…

Wow. Another comparison between myself and a dog.

It must be time to end this post before things get out of hand. Or paw.

Oh brother.

Happy Tuesday! 🙂
