Out on the Bridge

Sometimes Gracefully Sometimes Gracefully IMG_0825 Sometimes Gracefully

It was a windy morning when Darrin and I took these pictures, but isn’t that skyline beautiful? Way to go, Minneapolis. I’ll brave the cold and venture out onto the Stone Arch Bridge for you.

Darrin and I have one busy weekend ahead! The sisters are officially home from college for a month of winter break, we’re taking a trip downtown for the traditional family Santa photo, and we’re leaving for Iowa early Sunday for a short Christmas trip with the farm family. Darrin was asking me the other day when we should squeeze in our tiny family Christmas, where we exchange gifts and look at each other with dreamy eyes of love and thankfulness and all that good stuff. Because we’re spending most of our Christmas morning driving back from Iowa to see my side in the afternoon, I think we’re going to end up opening gifts in the car…maybe at a romantic gas station or rest stop. How dreamy and Christmasy, right? I think I’ll download the Yule Log app onto my Iphone and try to make the car ride as cozy as possible. πŸ˜‰

We’ve got a busy Christmas, but we’re both excited to make time for family. Are any of you traveling far distances for the holidays?

Also, can we all just gawk over theseΒ darling necklaces from The Hanging Garden? I amΒ lovingΒ this dandelion necklace! How beautiful!

Tonight, Darrin and I will most likely be having some down-time before the busy weekend begins. You can bet that will involve a Batman movie, popcorn, and me falling asleep by 8pm. YOLO, right?

I hope you’re having a wonderful Thursday! πŸ™‚

I’m driving all over the countryside on Christmas day too. Seeing my Dad in the morning, in-laws for lunch, and my Mum at night!
