First of all, this patterned dress by Charming Charlie is one of my new winter favorites. A comfy dress with good sleeves can be hard to come by, ya know? So thanks for making this girl’s casual winter dress dreams come true, Charming Charlie. *cyber fist bump*
In other news, New Year’s Day has come and gone and Darrin and I have attempted to smoothly transition into the cardboard box lifestyle. At least for the next week and a half. Time to take down the ol’ Christmas tree? Bring out the massive cardboard box. Ready to pack up the Christmas ornaments and holiday décor? Find me a few more cardboard boxes. Oh! And don’t forget about your sister’s winter wedding next Saturday! Pack up those table decorations in whaaaat? You guessed it. More cardboard boxes. Load them. Unload them. Package them. Unpackage them. Repackage them. It’s a lifestyle, really. And one we’re happy to adopt if it means pulling off a rockin’ wedding celebration.
I’ll confess that I’m not entirely ready to remove the Christmas twinkle from our tiny apartment. I like the soft light that glows from our tree as I zombie-walk through my kitchen in the middle of the night for a glass of water. It doesn’t have to end, right? But our cardboard storage boxes are taking up too much space in our apartment and are demanding to be packed away until next October November (after Thanksgiving, Darrin, I promise…..maybe). So, we pack. And tape. And pack. And tape. And maybe leave up the icicle lights for juuuust a bit longer… 😉
Transitioning into the New Year takes a lot of work, geez louise.
Hopefully your weekend is relaxing!
