I wrote about some of the awesome things taking place out here in good ol’ Minneapolis a while back, and I liked taking stock of “the awesome” so much that I thought I’d do it again! Sometimes, in order to recognize and believe that you’re surrounded by blessings, you’ve got to make a little list like this one. And I’m all about making lists! Hashtag I have an almost OCD-like problem with organization.

But anyways!

  1. Darrin brought me home a baby pumpkin from the grocery store. He essentially removed this small pumpkin from one of the grocery bags and said “Here ya go!”, as if I had been waiting and waiting for him to bring me home a pumpkin. I won’t lie to ya, it’s cute and tiny, which means that I’ll probably be carrying it with me from room to room.
  2. Our apartment smells of pumpkin spice and vanilla, which makes sitting on the couch and doing research a whole lot more enjoyable.
  3. Darrin’s grandpa bought me two large containers of dried mangos last week, and I’ve been enjoying their chewy, sugary, fruity flavor almost every day ever since.
  4. We recently purchased a Brita Water Filter pitcher, and my midnight glasses of cold water have never tasted smoother. That thing is magical, I tell ya.
  5. Last Saturday, Darrin and I took the most beautiful autumn walk around Minneapolis. The sun was shining, the air was crisp, and our sweaters were cozy. Minneapolis sure has been having one rockin’ fall. I mean, these vines, you guys.
  6. After coming home from work the other night, Darrin made tacos, cleaned the kitchen, unloaded the dishwasher, and surprised me with that baby pumpkin. What a guy.
  7. My youngest sister came home for a visit from college the other weekend. She was pretty busy entertaining all of her sweet girlfriends, but it was awesome just knowing she was home for a while.
  8. Our local grocery store has started to prominently feature massive bags of Halloween candy near their checkout lines. As if I needed another reason to love the month of October.
  9. Bought Darrin’s birthday present last night and I am waaaaaaay excited about it. I may or may not have done a silent fist pump after the purchase was made. Stay tuned!
  10. I had a dream about cute, redheaded babies running around our future home {which happened to be on an island in the middle of Canada…weird} the other night. We’ve got some time before cute babies start populating our little home, but they sure are fun to dream about.
  11. Had a hot bowl of soup for lunch yesterday and did not burn the roof of my mouth. You can imagine how exciting the rest of that meal was. Hint: extremely. exciting. It’s the little things, folks.
  12. My other baby sister tried on her wedding dress last week for alterations, and she looked absolutely beautiful. Feel free to hurry on up and arrive, Mr. January 10.
  13. Darrin and I took an unexpected nap over the weekend, and I wanted to climb up a grassy hill like Maria from The Sound of Music and shout to the world, with my arms outstretched, “THIS NEVER HAPPENS!”
  14. Once Darrin turns 25 next week, I will have officially known him for 10 years. Years. Which, obviously, means that we met when we were just 15 year old babies. Wowza. Times flies when you’re having fun and completely head over heels for the super cute redhead in your sophomore English class. WHAT.
  15. We bought a monstrous bag of Dunkin Donuts Original Blend at Sam’s Club last week. I feel like coffee should always come in bulk…
  16. Also bought shower cleaner yesterday and completely unclogged the shower drain. I feel like there should be a proverb about unclogging shower drains…something like An unclogged shower drain is an unclogged mind…or whatever. In any case, I was sure relieved to watch that water drain rather than fill up the bathtub.
  17. I wrote Darrin a little “love note” on his ginormous office white board that he has yet to erase. And I find his refusal to erase my sappy note just so darn romantic.

So there ya have it! What awesome things do you have going on? You can shop this look below!

LOVE the outfit!! And I have serious hair envy. I love that you wrote Darrin a love note–just trace it in permanent marker and he can never use the white board for equations ever again…muahahah

Haha maybe I’ll just skip the white board and write it on his forehead….muahahahaha… 😉
