Alphabet Logic

Sometimes Gracefully Scarf 2 Sometimes Gracefully Scarf 4 Sometimes Gracefully Scarf Sometimes Gracefully Scarf 3

Happy Tuesday from Minneapolis! Darrin and I worked hard last week to finish up our major mid-term papers and research projects. The Red Bull was consumed. The nights were late. But the assignments were finished! And we rewarded ourselves with a whole lot of discounted Halloween candy {my favorite “holiday sale”}. We also spent our entire Saturday doing four hefty loads of laundry, and boy does that just take the fun out of what was supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable Saturday. The washing. The drying. The folding. The missing socks. The why-do-we-have-so-many-white-tee-shirts. As an older version of Annie would sing, “It’s the hard-knock domestic life.” Folding can be so draining when your Saturday plans consisted of doing absolutely nothing and relishing in your boredom. But now that the laundry’s folded and the papers are submitted and we’ve gained an extra hour to lay in bed pretending like we’re going to actually get up when our alarms demand that we do, we’re feeling a bit lighter around here. Four large loads of dirty laundry lighter, to be exact.

We spent last Sunday with Darrin’s side of the family, celebrating October birthdays and playing football in the backyard. Darrin’s youngest cousin, who just started kindergarten, raced back to the line of scrimmage so he could tell me that the best position on the football field was the quarterback position because “quarterback starts with Q, Grace.” I told him that his reasoning behind that logic seemed sound, and he responded with a confident “I know” as he prepared to hike the football. “Q” appears the coolest letter in the alphabet. No wonder football lovers rant and rave about the quarterback position. I’m thinking that I need to start using this “Alphabet logic” the next time I’m trying to prove my point plead my case to Darrin:

“We should have Chipotle for dinner tonight, Darrin, because “Chipotle” starts with C…

“We should avoid folding our massive piles of laundry tonight, Darrin, because “laundry” starts with L…”

“We should drop everything we’re doing, Darrin, and take quick trip to Disney World and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter because “Grace is Ready for this Crazy Busy Semester to be Finished” starts with G…”

I’ll let you know how that last one turns out… 😉

Have a great rest of your day! Shop cozy fall sweaters and my new favorite scarf from Target {say what?!} below!

This sweater looks so cozy!! Glad you survived getting through all of your assignments. And I’m totally a sucker for sale Halloween candy. Somehow I managed to escape past the section at the grocery section yesterday. Phew!

Haha! I left the grocery store with more candy than I had ingredients for dinner…which, you know, makes complete sense. ;P Ha!
