I like sending Darrin pictures of potential homes for sale during my many minutes of procrastination during the day. The email title usually reads, “OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH!!” and then is followed by a link or a picture that justifies the ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh exclamation. Some of the homes are located just down the street…others are scattered about the country…some in other countries. We’re both on the final stretch of our graduate school experiences, so that “next step” is on the horizon, and I’m all about planning and preparing for whatever or wherever that “next step” might be. But last night, Darrin and I had ourselves a perfect night in our tiny home-for-now, grilling late-night brats because we both had skipped dinner and telling stories about our days while Hulu loaded on the television screen. Quiet nights together in our little apartment can sometimes make me forget all about those ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh houses and remind me to cherish these cozy nights spent on our fading-red couch. Maybe that’s cliché. I don’t care. I know my red living-room couch will soon fade to brown the longer it sits in front of that sunny window, so I better enjoy that red coloring while it lasts.
Also, I wasn’t lying when I told you that I bought this J. Crew Factory skirt in almost every color they had stocked in my size (flashback to this post). It’s my new favorite, so don’t be surprised if this little skirt makes another appearance (or 5) here on the ol’ blog. J. Crew did it again, folks. And I finally found the Kork-Ease heels I’m wearing on Amazon HERE! They’re old, so they’re difficult to track down. But the ones below are definitely on my wishlist!
