Once the weather hits a high of 60 degrees (aka: yesterday), our neighbors that had mysteriously disappeared during the frigid winter months suddenly reappear like some magical bunny from a top hat. And they reappear with springtime smiles and positive attitudes. Last night, Darrin and I took our first long walk of the sunny weather season, and apparently the majority of the neighborhood had “sunset walk” penciled into their evening schedules as well. We took our time crossing over the Mississippi River, enjoying this sunset view and talking about nothing and everything all at once. These past few weeks have been academically stressful, and I’m sure the next few weeks will be more of the same. But I’m not worried. There is some kind of magic in these springtime sunsets and warm evening walks. Sure, they make my mysterious neighbors magically reappear (#hibernation), but they also make my pesky anxieties and stresses magically disappear. At least for part of the evening. 🙂
So way to go, Spring. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
Now let’s just get this darn snow melted, shall we??
