You know you’re having a good start to your August when you’ve spent two out of the past four August nights visiting the local ice cream shops. Izzy’s Ice Cream is just a hop, skip, and a jump across the Stone Arch Bridge; Wilde Roast Cafe (and their amazing salted caramel gelato) is just down the street. Oh, the burdens of being surrounded by too many ice cream options…
Last night, Darrin and I walked to Izzy’s Ice Cream while the sun set over Minneapolis. Izzy’s is known for the “Izzy” (so aptly named) that is added to each ice cream order: a small dollop of a secondary ice cream flavor on top. I ordered a sugar cone filled with Latte ice cream topped with an Izzy of Mocha Almond Fudge, and Darrin (who is apparently four years old) ordered a bowl of Bubble Gum ice cream topped with an Izzy of Cotton Candy. Because ice cream, as he says, is all about choosing the brightest colors behind the glass.
This Chicwish dress is perfect for a little stroll to the ice cream shop on a comfortably cool summer night. I thought I’d pair it with this extremely old belt I’ve had since middle school because the darned thing just looked so sad lying on the closet floor.
